Project Guardrail: Arizona 2020
Democratic candidate Mark Kelly is leading Republican Sen. Martha McSally among Arizona voters, according to recent polling. Kelly, a former astronaut and U.S. Navy captain, now has a double digit lead over the incumbent Republican. The race remains fluid but Kelly is continuing to expand his consistent lead over McSally.
Kelly is married to former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-Ariz.), who has been a prominent gun safety advocate since retiring from Congress after surviving an assassination attempt in 2012. TakeItBack.Org had the opportunity last November to host a very successful fundraiser and we are certainly committed to providing ongoing support to ensure Mark Kelly wins this November.
Democrats are looking to flip at least four Senate seats in 2020 to take control of the upper chamber. McSally is one of the most vulnerable targets. The Cook Political report ranks the race as a “Leans-D.”
We are all in for Mark Kelly!
How we elect Mark Kelly: duplicate 2018
In 2018, Sinema outperformed Hillary Clinton’s narrow defeat in 2016 by 6 percentage points Sinema also carried Maricopa County outright — a notable feat for Democrats and a key indicator of statewide competitiveness. Here are approximately four trends which highlight how Sinema broke through in 2018, and represent the key areas we must focus on to elect Captain Kelly in 2020:
First, Sinema banked a significant number of votes in the last two weeks of early/ absentee voting.
Second, among voters of color and Latina voters in particular, turnout rates and support levels in 2018 were closer to presidential election levels than prior midterms like 2014.
Third, Sinema substantially increased the Democratic margin with urban and suburban voters while moderately increasing support among white rural voters.
Finally, she managed to persuade a significant share of 2016 third-party voters who voted in 2018.
The Arizona Democratic Party is working to help do all of that and more. (You can learn more about their efforts by clicking👉HERE)
Mark Kelly is on track to do just that, but not without your help. Arizona came down to the wire in 2018 and surely will again in 2020.

Martha McSally has an atrocious record on healthcare including voting to end Medicaid Expansion and protections for 2,802,00 Arizonans with pre-existing-conditions.
Fight Voter Suppression:
Donald Trump and his party will do everything they can to prevent our people from showing up so we're supporting the Arizona and Maricopa Democratic Party's aggressive turnout operation.

The Arizona Democratic Party Voter Turnout Program has a proven record in turning out the vote in close elections in Arizona. Most recently their efforts included flipping Maricopa county and electing US Senator Kyrsten Sinema in 2018. Their program is aggressive with a key focus on turning out the vote amongst the state's urban latina and suburban female demographics.
