Project Guardrail: Arizona 2020
Democratic candidate Mark Kelly is leading Republican Sen. Martha McSally among Arizona voters, according to recent polling. Kelly, a former astronaut and U.S. Navy captain, now has a double digit lead over the incumbent Republican. The race remains fluid but Kelly is continuing to expand his consistent lead over McSally.
Kelly is married to former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-Ariz.), who has been a prominent gun safety advocate since retiring from Congress after surviving an assassination attempt in 2012. TakeItBack.Org had the opportunity last November to host a very successful South Dakota (Arizona?) fundraiser and we are certainly committed to providing ongoing support to ensure Mark Kelly wins this November.
McSally was appointed to her seat last year after it was vacated following the death of Republican Sen. John McCain. She had lost her Senate bid in 2018 to Democrat Kyrsten Sinema, who flipped the seat formerly held by retired Republican Sen. Jeff Flake.
Democrats are looking to flip at least three Senate seats in 2020 to take control of the upper chamber. McSally is one of the most vulnerable targets. The Cook Political report ranks the race as a “toss-up.”
2018 results: the 2018 election itself was too close to call on election night, but weeks later once mail-in and provisional ballots were fully counted, Kyrsten Sinema prevailed over Martha McSally In the end, Sinema won by a margin of 55,900 votes, or 2.4 percentage points.

How we elect Mark Kelly: duplicate 2018
In 2018, Sinema outperformed Hillary Clinton’s narrow defeat in 2016 by 6 percentage points Sinema also carried Maricopa County outright — a notable feat for Democrats and a key indicator of statewide competitiveness. Here are approximately four trends which highlight how Sinema broke through in 2018, and represent the key areas we must focus on to elect Captain Kelly in 2020:
First, Sinema banked a significant number of votes in the last two weeks of early/ absentee voting.
Second, among voters of color and Latina voters in particular, turnout rates and support levels in 2018 were closer to presidential election levels than prior midterms like 2014.
Third, Sinema substantially increased the Democratic margin with urban and suburban voters while moderately increasing support among white rural voters.
Finally, she managed to persuade a significant share of 2016 third-party voters who voted in 2018.
Mark Kelly is on track to do just that, but not without your help. Arizona came down to the wire in 2018 and surely will again in 2020.
We have developed a sophisticated digital marketing and ground game strategy that leverages artificial intelligence to execute impactful programs in key Arizona counties and constituencies
Martha McSally has an atrocious record on healthcare including voting to put 2,802,00 Arizonans with pre-existing-conditions at risk.
Fight Voter Suppression:
Donald Trump and his party will do everything they can to prevent our people from showing up, but Teddy AI will be watching.
We used artificial intelligence to develop a comprehensive support system for vote-by-mail and absentee programs in Arizona.
